E Z Glue on wing sheeting

There is a easy way to glue on wing sheeting with no pins, weights, or clamps. Just iron the sheeting on the wing! No really . . . . . I'm not kidding. Here is what you need: Elmer's Wood Glue (the yellow stuff) Old covering iron (You can use a new one but you may get glue on it) Small paint brush (Acid brush works well) Small mixing cup This is how to do it: Place the sheeting on the wing and mark the sheeting where it makes contact with the ribs, spar, and leading edge. Mix the glue 2:1 with water and stir well.( 2 parts glue 1 part water) Spread this mixture to the to the top of the ribs, spar, and leading edge of the wing where the sheeting will make contact. Spread this mixture to the to the bottom of the sheeting where you drew the lines. ALLOW ALL THE GLUED PARTS TO DRY to the touch. Place the sheeting on the wing and start ironing. . . .Move the iron SLOWLY over the sheeting where the glue joint makes contact., as the glue heats up it will fuse the sheeting to the wing parts. I have been using this method for about 10 years now and will never glue on wing sheeting any other way. Helpful hints: Test this out on two scraps first to set the temperature on the iron. (and if you don't think this works) The iron needs to be as hot as you can get it without burning the wood
